After running through our blog searching for last year’s post about the freshmen orientation camp, I realised we’ve got nothing posted for last year.

Last year, we ran our first Freshmen Orientation Camp. We got positive feedback from feedback forms.This weekend, we’ll be running the camp again.

Check back next week after the camp. We have more juice for you.

We attended an event organised by ClubSnap on the 24th July 2010!

The event featured a series of talks and workshops by local photographers, on topics ranging from how to creatively use your camera flash, to the ever popular wedding and travel photography.

The featured strobist workshop was conducted by Sze Kiat, our previous EXCO member! Great workshop indeed!

June: Basic Studio & Lighting Workshop

For the month of June, we have liased with Camwerkz to conduct a basic studio and lighting workshop. Basically, this workshop introduces new and experienced users to studio photography. It will help to clear away the doubts and questions you have on the subject matter. it will definitely give you a better idea in studio photography and how to set up basic studio lighting.

Once again, SIM Photography Club would like to thank Dan from Camwerkz studio for providing this awesome workshop session for us!

MediaCorp Radio invited us to the Canon Power In Your Hands photography seminar held at Suntec City, on 15th May 2010.

Led by Canon’s resident travel photography trainer Jino Lee, actor Thomas Ong and MediaCorp Radio DJs Rozz and Peifen share their experience and tips in using Canon’s PowerShot compact cameras on their photography trip to Sydney! Pictures shot during the trip were shared with the participants during the seminar.

Not forgetting our SENIOR JumpMaster of our club, Fai Ming! Jumping with MediaCorp Radio 93.3FM DJ Lin Pei Fen!

We’d like to announce that Felix is leaving EXCO due to personal reasons.

It has been a great pleasure working with him seriously. The team and I wishes him success in his future endeavors. It’s a loss to our WONDERFUL TEAM like us SPC Exco!

Update: This post was written (yes, and updated) by myself. I totally forgot about this until receiving a text from our Lin Lin (our secretary) asking if I was fine and why I left the club. Wow. Happy April Fool’s!
