SPC CAMP 15-17 Jul Day 3

Time flies and the camp has come to the end. To wrap up the camp, we had prize presentation. The scores were slowly revealed by the organisers that really kept the groups suspended.
 

 

Sean was the one tabulating the scores for each of the groups.

AUGUST

Hello, shutterbugs! Our next monthly outing for August will be at  Changi Coastal Walk! We will be shooting at Changi beach park, one of the oldest coastal park in Singapore. Can feel the kampong spirit~~

Theme for the outing: COURAGE. What is courage? Bring out your very own meaning of the theme and show it through your pictures. So come and enjoy the atmosphere with SPC and who knows, your photos might be use to showcase during student week!

SEPTEMBER

CASTING CALL!

Casting Call is looking for the next batch of SIM GE students to represent SIM GE in 2012 so for those who think they are able to represent SIM GE, come down and take a photo! SPC will be there taking photos of all of you so people who are interested to see how does we shoot them can come and hang around and learn too.

SPC CAMP 15-17 Jul Day 2

Day 2 was the highlight of the camp! Everyone had to leave for Sentosa by 10am. Before everyone set off to Sentosa, we had group shot first.

And of course… a SPC group shot of everyone who attended the camp :)

SPC CAMP 15-17 Jul Day 1

Month of July most anticipated event was SPC Camp! The 3D2N camp was a fun one with awesome people! It was held at Ulu Pandan hostel. The first day was mainly to bond with fellow campers and the organizers had organized some games for the different orientation groups.

As usual, ice breaking games were conducted to start the ball rolling.

OUTING


Calling all photographers! Sim photography club will be having tons of upcoming events and now is your chance to join in the fun.

Firstly our monthly outing! For the month of July the club will be going to Chinatown, one of Singapore cultural hotspot. Members will be formed into teams and shoot pictures in according to the theme on “hope”. Besides this ,there will be chances where members can each impart their skills to one other.

RECRUITMENT DRIVE


The club will be having a recruitment drive to sim students. Those who haven’t join, come on now.  Furthermore, budding photographers can take this chance to join our club and get to know about photography better.

Dates: 1st and 2nd August 2011

Place: SIM Annex

Time: 9am onwards

For all of you, here your chance and come down to the booth to register and be part of our club. :D

WORKSHOP


 

There will also be a workshop for photographers who are interested in knowing more about using different angles and lights to take better pictures. It will be conducted by Koh Sze Kiat who is a former student and is here to share about his knowledge and information on photography.

People who are interested in joining this workshop can come down on 1st and 2nd August to register.

  • Applies to all students( SIM and SPC members)
  • Duration is 3 hours each.
  • Different session of timing to choose from.

Interested parties who want to know more about the workshop can come down to the booth and inquire about it. See you there!

2011 SPC Freshmen Orientation Camp

Urging all freshies or even members to join for 2011 SIM SPC Freshmen Orientation Camp!!!

It’s definitely a camp you wouldnt want to miss!

I remember the 1st time i was being convinced to join for the camp a year ago by the ex-president and i didnt regret it at all! There was so much fun during the 2Days 1Night camp in 2010.

This time round it’s 3Days 2Nights from the 15-17June2011,Fri-Sun

and i couldn’t help but to be very excited with all the activities planned for you guys!

Furthermore, food will be provided:D

This is a place where you get to know more about photography and this is also a place you can start off by widening your social network in SIM and build relationship with one another!

Botanical Garden: February outing

Our monthly outing on the month of february was at Botanical Garden. Following Valentine’s day, we decided to have our outing at this romantic hideout!
